Muscle Car Mechanic prepared the 2017 Victorian State Championship winning Group N Torana XU-1 Historic Touring Car.
Having bought the car in Sydney in 2010 and raced it for three seasons, Muscle Car Mechanic then performed a comprehensive rebuild and development of the Group N Torana over several years.
This included a brand-new roller cam engine featuring the best of everything in terms of available hardware. Gearboxes, diffs, suspension and brakes were all replaced, refurbished and developed.
The Torana was refined into an ultra-reliable and very competitive package that was raced by Muscle Car Mechanic for another four seasons.
The car sold at the end of the 2017 season and is now back in Sydney being raced hard by a talented young driver who runs at the front of the historic touring car field.
